In a time of accelerating change, shaped by global uncertainty, climate imperatives, and shifting investment landscapes, Energetic Future 2025 provides a platform for optimism, cooperation, and tangible progress. While challenges such as geopolitical instability and transition fatigue persist, they also open new spaces for innovation, cross-border learning, and strategic alignment. EF’25 brings together leaders and practitioners who are not only navigating complexity but transforming it into opportunities.

The conference serves as a catalyst for high-impact cooperation between government, industry, academia, and civil society. It provides a platform where strategies and projects can align, ecosystems can evolve, and participants can engage across all levels of the energy transition—from national policy to real-world delivery.

EF’25 builds on the UK–Norway Joint Strategic Partnership (2024) and the Green Industrial Partnership (2025), which together aim to “facilitate the green transition and path to net zero”. These frameworks support deep cooperation on:

  • Offshore wind (bottom-fixed and floating)
  • Hydrogen and sustainable fuels
  • Carbon capture and storage (CCS)
  • Cross-border electricity and energy system integration
  • Industrial supply chains, infrastructure, and innovation
  • Skills development and bilateral R&D

These agreements are more than diplomatic milestones—they are actionable blueprints. EF’25 is where these ambitions meet operational thinking and structured engagement. We will take the high-level subject of UK-Norway partnerships into practical detail around where the opportunities are to form partnerships for rapid impact, what it will take to practically form these partnerships and finally home in on the specific challenge of building an industry-wide sustainable people pipeline.
