The Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce is inviting you to a high level panel discussion, 
'AI drives energy and energy drives AI'.

The panel will seek to separate fact from fiction while looking at how technology is saving billions, bringing operations offshore onshore and making more oil and gas recoverable.

We will be joined by Guest of Honour, the British Ambassador to Norway Jan Thompson CMB OBE.

Erikka Askeland

Erikka is an award-winning journalist, having worked in the UK as a reporter, columnist and editor focused on business news for twenty years. For the last ten she has specialised in the North Sea and the UK's widening energy mix. Erikka has held senior roles at a number of UK publications and has been a regular contributor to national titles, while also working with corporate clients.

Fredrik Syvertsen
Director TEK Norge

Fredrik Syversen has worked at TEK Norway for over 25 years and has extensive experience with almost everything related to the digital business sector, from small startups to large international corporations. Fredrik is responsible for TEK Norway's international work and has overall responsibility for TEK Norway's collaboration on business development with Innovation Norway, the Research Council of Norway, the EU and other public innovation promoters.


Michelle Williams
Head of Business Transformation AkerBP

Michelle Williams is Head of Business Transformation at Aker BP, bringing extensive leadership experience across technology, logistics, and supply chain environments. She has a strong track record in driving operational and digital transformation, with expertise spanning operations management, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery.

Her background includes leading restructuring initiatives, managing complex operations, and delivering business development outcomes across dynamic industrial settings. She is particularly focused on aligning operational performance with strategic objectives to enable sustainable growth.

Michelle is a graduate of the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy.

 

John Sverre Vik
Digital Manager Northern Europe ABB

John Sverre works with digital transformation at ABB across Northern Europe, helping customers turn data, AI, and automation into something that actually delivers value.

He comes from a mix of engineering, operations, and business, and spends most of his time connecting the dots between them. Lately, his focus has been on outcome-driven use cases, autonomous operations, and how agentic AI is starting to change what’s possible.

He keeps things simple: if it doesn’t create a real impact, it’s not worth doing.


Sven Sunde
Enterprise Greenfield Manager Norway, Denmark, & Iceland, Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Sven  manages a team of sales and specialist professionals dedicated to helping Nordic enterprises modernize and innovate through cloud technology and emerging AI capabilities. With a customer-obsessed leadership philosophy rooted in Amazon's culture of invention, Sven is known for building high-performing teams and fostering long-term partnerships with enterprise customers. He holds a degree from Western Washington University and is an active contributor to the Nordic tech community through events, panels, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.  


Anne Leer
Chief AI Policy Officer, S-AI

Anne is an experienced strategist and inspirational leader who has gained her experience working with some of the world's biggest media brands (Paramount, Financial Times Prentice Hall, Oxford University Press, BBC) and international organizations (UN, OECD, EC). 



It'll be an informal evening of mingling, networking, and a panel discussion, with refreshments provided by Lervig Local who will also be offering tours of their onsite microbrewery.
